Eve Goldstein, Psy.D. has devoted over 25 years to the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. Dr. Goldstein holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, a masters degree in Learning Disabilities from Northwestern University and a doctoral degree in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Yeshiva University. This unique background, in both education and psychology, enabled her to recognize that children and families are multifaceted, requiring comprehensive interdisciplinary support.
Dr. Goldstein provides educational and emotional support for children and families. She conducts comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations, discrete evaluations for learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders, and provides specific training for active learning, study skills, and executive function skills. She provides therapy using research based methods to support children and their families with social and emotional issues that interfere with their everyday life. An expert in the field of neuropsychological assessment, Dr Goldstein taught as an adjunct professor at Yeshiva University. She created the educational remediation practices at both Lakeshore Neuropsychological Services in Evanston, IL and Child Development Associates in Scarsdale, NY. She is trained in a variety of specialized reading and writing programs, including: Lindamood-Bell, Preventing Academic Failure, and Orton-Gillingham. Dr. Goldstein has developed a specific program focused on organization and study skills, to enhance the academic success of students. She also created Developing Executive Function Skills for Academic Success, a manualized program for training teachers.
Dr. Goldstein completed her clinical psychology training at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell, Montefiore Medical Center, and Columbia University’s Medical Center. At these institutions, she worked with individuals and families on a variety of social and emotional issues, including: anxiety, depression and suicidality, attention and behavioral issues, intra-family dynamics, school related difficulties, and adjustment to medical diagnoses.
Dr. Goldstein speaks on topics related to social-emotional learning, navigating school support services, executive functioning, and a wide variety of topics on parenting and family functioning. She contributes to national news organizations, sharing practical tips and information with Authority Magazine, Modern Mom, Your Teen, Forbes, CBS, NBC, Fox, and ABC. Dr. Goldstein is married, has three children, and works bi-coastally in Scarsdale, NY and Los Angeles, CA.
