Kimberly Goldner, Psy.D.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Goldner received her BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan, where she graduated with honors and was inducted into Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. She earned her masters degree in School Psychology and doctoral degree in School-Clinical Child Psychology from Pace University. For her excellence in graduate work, she was awarded an academic scholarship, which she maintained for the duration of her doctoral program.

Dr. Goldner’s pre-doctoral training was at Beth Israel Medical Center and Brooklyn Children’s Psychiatric Center, during which she performed comprehensive psychological evaluations and conducted individual, group, and family therapy with her patients. She completed her post doctoral fellowship at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center’s Child and Family Institute, in the outpatient clinic, as well as a school-based mental health center. Dr. Goldner chose to use her extensive training experience to work with families in collaborative multidisciplinary settings.

Dr. Goldner has been highly successful in helping children, adolescents and families deal with a wide range of issues. Her work focuses on diagnostic assessment, school consultation, and evidence-based treatments.

Her approach to therapy incorporates developmental, relationship-based, and family systems theories. Dr. Goldner is solution-focused, tailoring therapy to each family’s specific needs, while building on a child’s strengths in order to help them thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
